Connect Me Advantage™ is the new premier dining event service for single gay men, available exclusively to Urban Outings members. Enjoy a friendly dinner at New York City’s most appealing restaurants with a small group of other single gay men whom Urban Outings has selected to attend based on age groups, your preferred cuisines of choice, and (when possible) other personal factors. By sharing an alluring yet casual dinner, you will meet and certainly get to know several professionals with whom we hope you will be compatibly matched. Every dining event will be a unique dinner party experience! Besides feeling satisfied with a nice evening out, you will come away from the event with a new friend, contact or perhaps a romantic connection.



After joining Urban Outings, you will have the option to become a Connect Me Advantage Member. Members in this premium program will fill out a personal profile that includes your interests in culture and dining, and so forth. Personal profiles are held in confidence by the Urban Outings staff and used exclusively to create dinner party groups of compatible individuals.

Before a dinner event for which you have been selected, you will receive a personal invitation to join a hand-chosen, intimate group of fellow Advantage Members at a restaurant in Manhattan. Since you will need to coordinate your schedule, you will be given sufficient time to accept or decline an invitation by a given deadline. From there, Urban Outings takes care of all the planning, from booking the reservation, to coordinating attendees, and setting all of the necessary arrangements. Before the event, Urban Outings will provide you with the restaurant’s location and everything you need to know. All you have to do is show up!

On the evening of your dinner, an Advantage Host will greet you, seat you, make introductions and help to get the conversation flowing. In addition, Connect Me Advantage™ will buy the first round of drinks. The Host will ensure that all elements of the evening transpire smoothly, and will work with the restaurant staff to make dinner as enjoyable as possible.

In general, Advantage Members will select their food choices from a price-fixed menu pre-arranged with the restaurant by Urban Outings. Additional drink orders will be added to your individual tab. Separate checks will be kept for each dinner guest. Advantage Members do not pay anything for their meals or drinks at the restaurant; at the end of the dinner there is no danger that the evening’s spirit of camaraderie will be disrupted by the diners having to reach for their wallets. Just like staying in a resort hotel or on a cruise ship, your tab plus a 20% gratuity will be billed to a credit card you keep on file with Urban Outings. It’s sophisticated yet convenient!

If you didn’t exchange contact information with someone at the dinner with whom you wanted to pursue a connection, upon your request, Connect Me Advantage ™ will contact that member on your behalf, and provide him with your contact information and a message.

Please note: Because we strive to design a group of individuals most suitable for you, and the dinners reflect the level of active participation from our membership pool, there is no standard pattern for when you will receive event invitations. You may receive a few invites within a month, or it may be several weeks between invites. We will always work to find the best fit for you and your social life!
